Todd Pressman, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist, award winning speaker, and internationally recognized expert on anxiety. He graduated with degrees in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and Saybrook University, and has created three businesses: Pressman and Associates Life Counseling Center, Logos Wellness and The Center for Management Excellence (helping businesses achieve their full potential). He has authored scores of articles (including in The Philadelphia Business Journal) and three books, including “Deconstructing Anxiety: The Journey from Fear to Fulfillment”, “Radical Joy: Awakening Your Potential For True Fulfillment” and “The Bicycle Repair Shop: A True Story Of Recovery From Multiple Personality Disorder”, each of which has received high acclaim. In 1982, he traveled the world to study the great wisdom and healing traditions, including with a Zen master in Kyoto, Balinese fakirs, a Zoroastrian high priest and a Sri Lankan firewalker. His education also includes an internship under Stanislav Grof, M.D. at the Esalen Institute. With a background deeply rooted in tradition (he was groomed by a father whose teachers were taught by Sigmund Freud), he has integrated this wide-ranging experience into a new program of personal development called “Deconstructing Anxiety”. He applies these principles to individuals in his counseling practice, groups from around the country in his seminars, and businesses with his “Center for Management Excellence”. His working model is based on Michelangelo’s ideal: to release the statue from the stone, the authentic Self from the overlays of imposed identity, into the discovery of freedom, joy and fulfillment. He has worked with high level CEOs, Olympic athletes and the everyday man/woman on the street, applying these principles to help people realize their highest potential in whatever their chosen field. His work has been touted by many luminaries in the field, including Stanley Krippner who called it “Outstanding and ingenious…This is worth the world’s attention!”, Ken Wilbur who described it as “truly profound”, and Raymond Moody who said “This is an important resource that must get out to people”.
